What is the role of the state in social media governance? The Centre for Digital Governance sought the opinions of various Hertie students, as well as the expertise of Professor Danie Stockmann on the issue. Read the blog, and watch the interviews on our YouTube channel!

We have recently published four new pieces on our blog: The first blog is the first part of a series about the digital governance problems facing the video game industry; the second, a summary of key takeaways from the 2022 GovTech Summit which took place in November last year; the third, an analysis of Nigeria's progress in digitalising government service provision; and the fourth deals with the effects ChatGPT may have on academia

In a new study conducted with Cassini, we argue that Germany's federal government needs to better understand and exploit the potential of digitalisation for sustainability efforts. This is the only way the public administration can achieve its climate goals. Find out more.

We're very proud to introduce our new YouTube channel, which will provide a new and dynamic avenue to share research and insights with our community. Make sure you subscribe!

Thank you for the continued support of the Centre. Feel free to email us at any time, follow us on LinkedIn, or visit our website to see our latest work.

Kind regards,

Prof. Dr. Gerhard Hammerschmid
