Dear Friends of the Hertie School, One week ago, we bade farewell to over 300 of our students at the graduation ceremony at Admiralspalast in Berlin – the biggest graduation in our university’s history. This year’s ceremony was indeed a special one: we celebrated our first cohort of Master of Data Science for Public Policy students and exchanged memories with our Executive Master of Public Administration graduates. In this edition of our newsletter, we share some of the most cheerful moments with you. We also recap the powerful call by commencement speaker and Member of the German Parliament Armand Zorn, who reminded our graduates to use the knowledge they had gained in the past two years for the greater good. Last but not least, in the recording of our livestream, you can listen to the words of this year’s student speakers Colomba Martinez Cooper and Aura Arbulu Vasquez, who spotlighted the freedom in Berlin and the extraordinary community at the Hertie School that they had become part of. The Hertie School is proud to have contributed to another cohort of young, committed future leaders. Our sincerest congratulations to this remarkable group of graduates! Warmest regards for a relaxing summer,
Prof. Cornelia Woll President Hertie School
