Prof. Daniela Stockmann took the reins as the Centre Director earlier this year. Find out the motivation behind her research, what she thinks about the challenges of social media governance, and her plans for the centre in this interview. Watch the full video on YouTube. The Centre hosted two distinguished guests: Thelma Quaye, Chief of Infrastructure Programme at the Smart Africa secretariat and Anna Sophie Herken, Member of the board of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, at the Hertie School for an interactive panel on policymaking and regulation for Africa's digital transformation. Rewatch the recording of this insightful session moderated by Leslie Nii Lantey Mills, MPP 2024, on YouTube. Valeriya Ionan, Deputy Minister for Eurointegration at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, visited the Hertie School to give a terrific lecture about the Ukrainian experience with Diia and the policy solutions the government is implementing to address various hurdles it faces to reach their ambitious goal of delivering the state in a smartphone. Here are photos from the event if you missed it.
